Sørensen's 'Asle and Alida' with McClelland, Sundqvist and Weisser from Copenhagen

Bent Sørensen's 'Asle and Alida' is an opera based on the trilogy by Nobel laureate Jon Fosse. It is late autumn, and the young couple Asle and Alida are wandering around in Bjørgvin, knocking on doors to find a place to stay but no one will let them in. Alida is expecting a baby and could give birth any time now. They have sailed from a small place further north, and Alida begins to regret that they left home.
