Located in the heart of Madrid, the Spanish capital, Teatro Real is a state opera house.  The Teatro Real reopened on 11 October, 1997 under the management of the Foundation. Since that day, it has developed activities that are clearly aimed at protecting and promoting Spanish artistic heritage, especially organising, creating and putting on performances of opera, music and dance.
