Bach, Esterházy, Hammerschmidt, Vivaldi, Händel and Haydn sound in Budapest

Advent Concert. Ágnes Kovács, Ágnes Pintér, sopranos, Péter Bárány, countertenor, Márton Komáromi, tenor, Borka Ákos, bass, the Purcell Choir and the Orfeo Orchestra conducted by György Vashegyi perform:

BACH: Nun komm, der Heiden Heiland, BWV 61.

ESTERHÁZY: Harmonia Caelestis - excerpts (No. 2 - Nil canitur, No. 8 - Jesu dulcedo, No. 10 - Dormi Jesu dulcissime).

HAMMERSCHMIDT: Vom Himmel hoch (cantata from the Kirchen- und Tafel-Music series).

VIVALDI: Concerto in D minor for two violins, cello and string orchestra, RV 565 (Op. 3, No. 11).

HÄNDEL: The King Shall Rejoice - coronation anthem, HWV 260.

HAYDN: Salve Regina in E major, Hob. XXIIIb:1.

HÄNDEL: Zadok the Priest, HWV 258.
